    Mechanically Agitated Reverberation Chamber

With the advancement of communication technologies, mainstream consumer electronics now support an ever‑increasing number of frequency bands, and the number of required antennas continues to grow—resulting in significantly longer production‑test cycles. The BRL series mechanical‑stirring reverberation test systems are specifically engineered to minimize measurement time. Whether you need to test compliance with Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi (WLAN), 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, 5G NR, NTN standards, or even millimeter‑wave short‑range communications, the BRL series covers the full spectrum of wireless‑communication testing, delivering end‑to‑end test solutions.

The BRL series mechanical‑stirred reverberation test system consists of a shielded reverberation chamber with reflective walls. The device under test (DUT) is mounted on a turntable, and the combination of the reflective walls, the turntable, and a mechanical stirrer creates a Rayleigh‑fading, omnidirectional, rich multipath (RIMP) environment within the chamber. By using a radiating source to excite multiple higher‑order electromagnetic modes in the large metallic cavity, the system obtains, at several sampling points, a statistically uniform, isotropic, randomly polarized field that is spatially homogeneous throughout the cavity. This setup is ideally suited for evaluating the antenna and RF performance of modern multi‑antenna (MIMO) devices.

The BRL series mechanical‑agitation reverberation test system is primarily used on production lines for electronic and communication products—including base stations, mobile phones, tablets, smart wearables, smart home devices, drones, and computers—to evaluate whole‑device radiation performance and communication performance. It enables testing of key performance metrics such as antenna efficiency, MIMO tiered gain, TRP, TIS, radiated spurious emissions, and throughput.

    Equipment Composition

The BRL series mechanical‑stirring reverberation test system comprises a reverberation chamber, vertical and horizontal stirrers, a turntable, a multi‑antenna unit, and an ATE software platform, working in conjunction with a vector network analyzer, a wireless communication comprehensive tester, and a spectrum analyzer to evaluate the DUT’s radiation and communication performance.

    Test Item

    • Passive antenna testing: antenna efficiency, envelope correlation coefficient, diversity gain, antenna diagnostics, correlation, mutual coupling, and multiple-input multiple-output capacity.

    • Radiation performance testing: TRP, TIS/TRS, EVM, radiated spurious emissions, HTTPS adaptive streaming (HAS), radiation power spectrum, adjacent-channel leakage ratio, and path loss.

    • Communication performance testing: channel emulation, throughput, RMS delay spread, bit error rate, time‑varying downlink/uplink throughput curves, and path‑dependent downlink/uplink throughput curves.

    Software Features

    • Monitoring Module: Real-time video monitoring of internal processes to prevent test‑related operator errors. Relevant test‑related dynamic data and logs support real-time local and cloud‑based monitoring, control, and traceability, ensuring a transparent and streamlined testing workflow.

    • Strategy Configuration Module: The test configuration interface is visual, configuration templates are standardized, and configuration cases can be edited online or saved as new versions; offline import is supported, ensuring simple and efficient operations.

    • Automated Test Module: Enables automated control and data acquisition for test hardware such as mixers, turntables, RF links, and instruments. Combined with automated DUT control, it supports automated processing of test data, automated result evaluation, and automatic data storage.

    • Calibration Module: The process software automatically guides the workflow, integrating imported antenna efficiency, line losses, and other parameters. Equipped with a built-in calibration algorithm, it enables one-click calibration while also supporting the storage and import of calibration data, thereby maximizing the stability and accuracy of calibration results.
